Expanded Day Camp Opportunity

We are planning to offer Monday-Friday full-day camping opportunities for youth ages 5-11, though three separate on-site day camp programs; June 29th until August 14th. Join us outdoors in our 180-acre lakefront site for fun “socially-distant” activities including boating, swimming, crafts, Nature, Challenge, athletics, informal academics (to bolster summer learning) and more!

This program is designed to assist working parents during the Covid crisis. Drop-off in Dewittville is available as early as 7:30am, with pick-up until 5:30pm. Three separate parking areas will be used.  Staff will meet campers at their vehicle, conduct a temperature check and quick health screening, and escort them to one of three separate program areas. Parents are asked to partner with the Camp to keep their children free from infection when outside of the program. Any child exhibiting illness will not be allowed to check-in that day, or if symptoms develop during the program, she/he will be comfortably isolated under supervision until a parent takes the child home.  Youth who reside outside of Chautauqua County will need to present a negative Covid-19 test received within four days of arrival to Camp.

A hot, nutritious breakfast and lunch will be provided daily at our nationally-accredited site. Please bring a face mask, appropriate footwear, bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, saline nasal spray, and a hat. For Rest Time, please bring a sheet, pillow, light blanket, and box (window) fan for enhanced ventilation.

The program will consist of three separate, age-segregated, camps consisting of three pods of five campers each (or fifteen campers/program to ensure adequate social distancing).  Following CDC guidelines, NYS Department of Health mandates, and YMCA of the USA/American Camp Association recommendations, each camp will engage separately in activities and meals, and the staff will work to sanitize all areas constantly. Masks will be required when campers and staff are indoors or if they come within six feet of another pod (of five youth). No field trips or overnighters are possible during the current phase of the pandemic.

Weekly tiered tuition (based on family circumstances): Tier 1: $275, Tier 2: $250, Tier 3: $185. No discounts are available for this special, limited-enrollment program.  All payments and forms must be completed online two weeks prior to the first day of the session.
