Discounts

Onyahsa Ambassador Discount Program

Use the attached Buddy Cheque to bring a new (full-paying) camper to Onyahsa, and the recruiter will receive $50 in tuition credit for each recruit. Recruits may only be claimed by one recruiter.

Multiple Week / Sibling Discount Program

For each Summer Camp session beyond the first one purchased by the same household, $50 may be deducted from the total Camp fee. This discount applies both to siblings and to a single camper who attends more than one session. For example, if one child attends two weeks, or if two children from the same household attend one week each, the same discount of $50 is granted to the nuclear household’s combined fee. (Each session must be at least six days in duration).

Start Of Summer Incentive (SOS)

Register for the first or second week of the summer (Weeks A and/or B) and receive a $50 Gift Certificate, or register for Day Camp sessions A and/or B, and receive a $25 Gift Certificate to be used at Onyahsa Outfitters for Camp merchandise.

Monthly Payment Program

The reality of quality camping is that while the experience is invaluable, it can also be expensive. To offset the cost of this rewarding experience, Camp Onyahsa offers a Monthly Payment Program from January to June each year. During each of these six months, 1/6 of the tuition fee plus a small service may be paid on an installment basis. By summer, all fees are paid in full! Please contact the Camp Office for more information on our monthly payment program.

Fundraising Programs And Tuition Assistance

Earn Your Way to Camp Candy Sale

During the year, Camp Onyahsa conducts fundraising events, such as our annual Earn Your Way to Camp Candy Sale, designed to enable any camper to earn his or her full or partial way to Camp. Please inquire for more details on our Fundraising Programs. (Fundraising participants need not be Financial Aid applicants.)

Camp Scholarships

Through the generosity of our local supporters, a limited number of full and partial camp scholarships are available to qualified applicants from Chautauqua County. Please contact the Camp Administrative Director for a Financial Aid Form. Applicants will be encouraged to participate in the Candy Sale, Take A Hike Sponsored Walk or other Camp support projects.

The Onyahsa Promise

Thanks to local benefactors, resident camp tuition is reduced by $100 per weekly session for local residents, defined as “full-time residents who are enrolled students in Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Allegany, Warren or McKean counties. ” This scholarship is made through the generosity of local contributors, who stipulate that these funds be used to assist youth who live within this region. It is not intended to discriminate against non-local youth. In fact, Camp Onyahsa strongly encourages and welcomes attendance by “out-of-region” and international campers!

Spiro G. Bello Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Spiro G. Bello Camp Scholarship Fund for needy and deserving youth who display leadership abilities has been created by Camp alumni to honor the late Onyahsa Director. Spiro attended Onyahsa as a child, and later directed the Camp from 1962 –1984. He mentored countless young people, including some of the current Onyahsa staff, alumni, and board members. If you would like to apply for a Bello Leadership Scholarship, make a contribution to this perpetual fund, or if you would like to receive alumni information, please contact the Camp Director.
