Onyahsa Plans Five-Year Development Fund Drive
Established in 1898, Camp Onyahsa will implement its Development Plan over the next five years to fulfill its 2020 Vision. The Plan calls for the upgrade and winterization of many of its lakefront facilities to meet the dynamic needs of our community. No new buildings are planned, but the bath house will be replaced, the Fitness Center completed, winter lodging expanded, infrastructure improved, and program expanded.
The Y Camp will seek the support of community stakeholders, and Camp Friends to fund this major effort. Individuals may pledge support over five years, and unique and perpetual naming opportunities exist for small and large gifts. By 2019, the Camp plans to engage in property protection to protect its beautiful facility for generations to come. Please contact the Camp Director, Jon O'Brian, if you are interested in supporting the Fund Drive through volunteering and/or contributing a tax-deductible contribution.
The Onyahsa Association
This membership organization of all current campers and staff, and seeks to include all interested alumni. Annual membership fees of $25 fund the Onyahsa Endowment, to ensure Camp’s viability for future generations. Thus, the Association serves to foster responsibility among its members.
The $25 Association fee will be assessed to each camper’s first resident week only, and will be good for one calendar year. Current YMCA members who attend camp will be automatically enrolled in the Association at no extra charge. Alumni are strongly encouraged to join the Association to stay connected to Camp, to assist in its capital development, and to obtain these special privileges.
Opportunities To Help
Successful not-for-profit camps need support these days to stay viable. Please consider helping Onyahsa through one or more of the following opportunities, and kindly contact the Camp Office for more information.
Scholarship Fund: "Send A Kid To Camp"
Fund the tuition for a deserving child who lacks the means to attend this positive, life-enhancing experience. A donation of $445 will fund one week of resident camp, and partial funding is also greatly appreciated.

The 2015 event will be held on November 7, 2015. Contact camp office for more information or if you would like to be apart of great fundraising event.
An individual contribution or memorial is always very welcome. Please contact the Camp Director to inquire about naming opportunities for large gifts.
