The Onyahsa Association

This membership organization of all current campers and staff, and seeks to include all interested alumni. Annual membership fees of $25 fund the Onyahsa Endowment, to ensure Camp’s viability for future generations. Thus, the Association serves to foster responsibility among its members.

Association members will receive a discounts on non-summer programs, a newsletter, and privileged access to the Association website (including its photo gallery). The $25 Association fee will be assessed to each camper’s first resident week only, and will be good for one calendar year. Current YMCA members who attend camp will be automatically enrolled in the Association at no extra charge. Alumni are strongly encouraged to join the Association to stay connected to Camp, to assist in its capital development, and to obtain these special privileges.

Successful not-for-profit camps need support these days to stay viable. Please consider helping Onyahsa through one or more of the following opportunities, and kindly contact the Camp Office for more information.

Scholarship Fund: "Send A Kid To Camp"

Fund the tuition for a deserving child who lacks the means to attend this positive, life-enhancing experience. A donation of $440 will fund one week of resident camp, and partial funding is also greatly appreciated.

Promise Raffle

Please support our Spring Onyahsa Promise raffle to subsidize the cost of camp for local middle-class kids. This raffle offers tickets for $25, with cash prizes up to $500.

Pathways Brick Drive

Make a permanent mark at Camp by purchasing a permanently engraved brick for $50 each. These paving stones will be installed in our central walkway in front of the Mess Hall.

"Take A Hike" Sponsored Walk

Join us at Camp in April for a sponsored hike from our core campus, through the woods and back. Get sponsors to fund your commitment to hike for Camp.

Harvest Dinner Dance

The Camp Board raised over $15,000 last year through this semi-formal adult event. Individual tickets will cost $75 and include a wonderful dinner, fine company, and a night of dancing in our lodge. The 2012 signature event is scheduled for Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 6:00pm. Contact camp office for more information.

Individual Contribution

An individual contribution or memorial is always very welcome. Please contact the Camp Director to inquire about naming opportunities for large gifts.

Long-Range Development Plan and the Fantastic Future Fund Drive

In 2013, Onyahsa will celebrate its 115th anniversary fund drive to create a next generation camp. The master plan for this significant upgrade will be available online and at Camp for viewing. It will address several issues including restrooms, property protection, an Arts Center, program expansion, and building enhancement. This will be an exciting milestone for Onyahsa and we will be counting on your support.
